
SILVIA BOIOCCHI
DVM, PhD, Dipl ECVS, GPCert(SAOS)
Graduated in 2002 from the University of Milan, she began her clinical training in 2003 at the Department of Veterinary Surgery of the University of Parma, with a focus on arthroscopic techniques. In December 2006, she obtained a PhD in Orthopedics and Traumatology.
She contributed to the development of the BOA (Breed-Oriented Approach) Atlas, serving as Editorial Coordinator. In 2007, she completed advanced training periods at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (Houston, TX, USA) and at the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL, USA).
In 2020, she achieved Diplomate status of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) after completing a residency under the supervision of Dr. Aldo Vezzoni and Dr. Matteo Tommasini Degna.
Her main clinical and research interests include arthroscopy and joint diseases, feline orthopedics, and sports medicine. She currently practices at the Vezzoni Veterinary Clinic in Cremona and at San Francesco Veterinary Hospital in Milan.
She regularly presents at national and international conferences and has authored several scientific publications.
