Veterinary surgeon dedicated exclusively to orthopedic surgery, with over 15 years of experience focused on complex and referral-level cases. He is the founder and clinical director of BoneMatrix, an advanced orthopedic referral center and the first dedicated orthopedic surgery center of its kind in Portugal.

He has been fully dedicated to orthopedic surgery since 2009, following advanced international training, including multiple AOvet courses and continuous participation in major international meetings such as ESVOT and WVOC. He is an invited speaker and instructor in numerous international congresses and advanced courses across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, with a particular focus on limb deformity correction.

His work is strongly oriented toward innovation, having played a pioneering role in the introduction of advanced orthopedic techniques and implants in Portugal, as well as in the development of original surgical methods and morphometric approaches. These include novel osteotomy techniques, CT-based measurement methodologies, and the development of semi-assisted analytical tools for angular assessment.

He has contributed to international orthopedic education through lectures, hands-on training, and authorship of a book chapter on limb deformity correction. His clinical and research interests focus on angular deformities, osteotomy-based strategies, 3D surgical planning, and biomechanical optimization of joint function.

He is currently pursuing a PhD focused on innovative surgical strategies in veterinary orthopedics, exploring the relationship between biomechanical concepts and clinical outcomes.
