GIULIO DEANGELI

MD, PhD, MBiotech, MMedSci, BEng

Giulio Deangeli, 31, is an Italian and Swiss computational neuroscientist. At 18, he placed second at the world Neuroscience Olympics (IBB), at the XXI World Congress of Neurology. In 2020, he was the first case in Italy to complete 5 parallel degrees (MD, BEng, BBiotech, MBiotech, MMedSci), achieving a 30/30 GPA and summa cum laude in each program. In 2018, he was the first Italian recipient of the Harvard HIP Scholarship. He completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge (UK) as a Vice-Chancellor’s Awardee, developing machine learning approaches to identify novel molecular mechanisms in neurodegenerative diseases and other complex disorders.Giulio lives in Boston, where he has co-founded several startups developing artificial intelligence technologies for medicine and neuroscience. He has advised and delivered keynote speeches for numerous major organizations on AI, innovation, and technological transformation, including Samsung, Sanofi, Biogen, SAP, ROI Speaker Plus, Mediolanum Farma, Schenck, Banca Mediolanum, Dafne Consortium, and others. He is frequently invited to speak at international conferences, including the Family Business Network Global Summit in Miami and the World Laureates Summit in Dubai. He is the author of three books, translated into multiple languages.

His honors include Forbes 30 Under 30 North America, the Melvin Jones Fellowship and the Silver Banner of Tuscany. He is a member of the Triple Nine Society, ISPE, and several international think tanks. Giulio firmly believes in volunteering and human values. In 2017, he founded a non-profit foundation in Italy that has since provided free mentorship, educational programs and scholarships to more than 2,000 students (www.gathere.org).
